Grow – Once again the popular Grow market impressed our readers by finding farmers who grow great produce, buying direct from them, and hustling the food fresh to the customer, sometimes within 24 hours.
Grow began as a spin-off of the family export business, which ships fresh fruit all over the world. The kids opened a cherry stand, selling fruit from a farmer in the Central Valley, diverted to the stand from the export business. Their parents watched and learned, and opened the retail store in 2006 as a result.
Grow is confident that its fresh produce tops that found in conventional supermarkets, and the store’s party platters have proven popular as well.
Grow offers scrip at American Martyrs School, Grand View Elementary, Hermosa View School, Meadows Elementary, Pennekamp Elementary, Pacific Elementary, and Robinson School.
The market sponsors events including the American Martyrs Parish Fair, American Martyrs School Auction, Congregation Tiffereth Jacob Auction, Circle of Love Preschool & Kindergarten, Grand View 5k Race and Pumpkin Patch, Hermosa Beach Education Foundation, Jimmy Miller Foundation, Manhattan Beach Education Foundation, Manhattan Beach Pumpkin Race, Meadows Harvest Festival, Mira Costa sports and clubs, Neptunian Women’s Group, Sandpiper Home Tour and The Wellness Community.
