Valley Park Day Camp
For campers 6 to 13 seeking adventure, Valley Park Day Camp offers beach days, sailing and visits to aquariums and water parks.
“What makes Valley special is you get a little bit of everything,” said Nick Shattuck, youth programs coordinator for the City of Hermosa Beach, he said. “You get beach time and you get to jump on a coach bus on Wednesday.”
Field trips scheduled for this summer include a trip to Aquarium of the Pacific on July 15, Splash Water Park in La Mirada on July 22 and August 5, Boomers in Irvine on July 29, Leeway Sailing Center in Long Beach on August 12, Scooters in El Segundo on August 19 and Knott’s Soak City on August 26.
Residents pay $180 a week and non-residents pay $190 a week.
Hermosa offers over 50 youth summer programs, including surfing and basketball camps and creative writing and chemistry classes.
