Since taking over the space previously occupied by Pitcher House on Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach five years ago, Saint Rocke has become the South Bay’s premier music venue. Allen Sanford’s intimate venue hosts a constant flow of inspired performances, from nationally touring artists (2012 included rock guitarist Steve Kimock, psycho-billy trio The Reverend Horton Heat and alternative rock band Fishbone) to up-and-coming local musicians and tribute and cover bands.
Saint Rocke was the founding stage for iROCKE, a web platform founded by Sanford and Karl Rogers that streams more than 1,000 live, high-definition concerts from all over the world every month.
“We are humbled and grateful to the community for acknowledging Saint Rocke as the home of live music in the South Bay,” Sanford said. “We know live music provides a soundtrack to our each of our lives, and the Saint Rocke family takes the responsibility of music curation in the community very seriously. Long live Rocke & rock.”
