Adam DeRitter was born and raised in Manhattan Beach and has found a happy home for himself behind the bar at Rock n Fish in his hometown. “I started as a food runner nine years ago and realized how fun the industry is,” he said. “I started barbacking until a position opened up behind the bar.” DeRitter is a fixture in the Manhattan Beach bar scene and serves up solid drinks with a great smile. He says meeting new people is his favorite part of the job. “I’ve been here so long that the regular guests have become really close friends,” he said. “I hang out with dozens of them outside of work, going golfing and snowboarding.”
