Hermosa Beach Sister City president Liz Ramirez (front row, left) joins students from Loreto Mexico, and Hermosa’s host students during a break from playing soccer at Valley Park on Wednesday. The students also met with firefighter/paramedic Jason Kokenge (left, talking to the students), Battalion Chief Ramon Valdoria, Engineer Kevin Halverson, and Captain Jason Lucky, from the Hermosa fire station, which has a long history of working with Loreto firefighters. Hermosa and Loreto have been Sister Cities since 1967. This is the 48th year of student exchange program.
