Thanks to HB city council
Dear ER:
Congratulations to the Hermosa Beach City Council for bringing an end to the McPherson Oil lawsuit. This is an amazing accomplishment. I applaud the wisdom and courage it took to decide to settle this lawsuit instead of gambling our city’s future on a jury trial. In my opinion, those who believe that prolonging the negotiations or that a jury trial would have resulted in better deal, are very wrong. They must be uninformed about the 14+ year history of the McPherson Oil lawsuit.
City Council did the right thing. Extra thanks to council members DiVirgilio and Bobko for negotiating the settlement.
