Smokeless St.Pat’s parade
Dear ER:
For those of you planning on attending the postponed St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Saturday, I would like to remind you that the Hermosa Beach City Council has recently banned smoking on Pier Avenue.
I would like to strongly urge all of you smokers to comply with the spirit of this self -enforcing ban. Please respect the rights of all non-smokers by simply setting up your chairs on the Hermosa Avenue section of the parade, which has become the de facto designated smoking section by the arbitrary actions of our Council. Additionally, please do not forget to bring your empty Guinness beer cans to serve as ashtrays. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
