San Clemente artist and surfboard shaper, Tim Bessell at Gallery 208

“Merging the Art of Surfing with the Art of the Greats” is the title of an exhibit by San Clemente artist and surfboard shaper Tim Bessell opening at Gallery 208 on Friday, November 17. The art pays tribute to pop artists Andy Warhol, and Kenny Scharf, and abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock. Gallery 208 opened for a one-year run last January to showcase surf culture art. An exhibit titled “Point Break” opens Dec. 1. The gallery will close at the end of the year. It’s located at 208 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Manhattan Beach.
