Francisco “Frank” Cobarruvias Jr, a suspect in the early morning beating death of Pats II Cocktails bouncer Terie Colecchi, 49, turned himself in to the Redondo Beach Police Department at 2:30 p.m. today.

“Cobarruvias showed up unannounced at the front counter of the Police Department with an attorney and surrendered without incident,” a release from the RBPD said.

Cobarruvias was booked on suspicion of murder. His bail was set at $1 million. He is due to appear in Torrance court on June 11.

An earlier suspect, Alejandro Avina, was released from jail Monday evening.

According to a Daily Breeze report, Avina claims he was alseep at his home in Carson at the time of the beating.

The investigation is ongoing and police are still asking for the assistance of witnesses who were at the bar around 1:47 a.m on Saturday. Call the Redondo Beach Police Department tip line at 310-937-6685.
