Spotlight on health – Providence Little Company of Mary honors Dr. Marlene Young
Marlene S. Young, Ph.D. was honored recently for her 22 years of dedicated, faithful and loving service to the Providence Little Company of Mary Foundation. Hosted by the Foundation at the historic Palos Verdes Golf Club, guests listened to keynote speakers who shared many of Young’s greatest attributes including her philanthropy, generosity and commitment to the community. She is credited with helping raise millions of dollars for Providence Little Company of Mary medical centers. According to the Foundation, “Marlene embodies the vision of the hospital which is ‘Health for a Better World.’” Young has served in leadership positions for PTA’s, National Charity League (NCL), Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital and the Whitney Young Children’s Foundation.
