In early May, 110 women of the Ambassadors Program, a fundraising arm of the Torrance Memorial Foundation, gathered for a luncheon at Shade Redondo Hotel’s Horizon Ballroom. The women learned about the Lundquist Lurie Cardiovascular Institute’s new Women’s Heart Health Clinic from director Nadia Jafar Curran, MD. Dr. Curran stressed the importance of preventing heart disease by knowing risk factors and symptoms, and having noninvasive testing to evaluate heart disease risks.
