During a reception at the Catalina View Gardens, on October 12, Senator Ben Allen presented a $5 million grant to the Palos Verdes Land Conservancy for its  “Go Wild for the Peninsula” initiative. The grant is from the senator’s discretionary budget, and brings the “Go Wild” fundraising effort to within $5 million of its $30 million goal. The Conservancy hopes to create a 96-acre Coastal Wildlife Corridor, connecting coastal land to the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve. The land will be owned by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, and managed by the Conservancy
