Volunteers from the Palos Verdes Youth Basketball League gathered at the Portuguese Bend Beach Club on March 17 to mark the end of another successful season. Attendees were thanked for the thousands of volunteer hours they collectively logged to support the league, which has grown to serve over 1,500 local kids by giving them the opportunity to play basketball, make friends and learn sportsmanship. Volunteers and their families enjoyed tacos and a variety of libations before capping off the event with s’mores roasted over a beach bonfire.
