Three new COVID-19 deaths, 307 new cases


Hermosa Beach reported two new COVID-19 deaths last week, bringing it’s total to 6. Redondo Beach also reported a new COVID death last week, bringing it’s total to 15. Though Manhattan has had just four COVID-19 related deaths — the most recent on Aug. 31 — it reported a record 93 new COVID cases last week, nearly double the 51 cases it reported the previous week. Hermosa Beach came close to its record high with 62 new cases last week. Redondo Beach recorded its record high of 167 cases two weeks ago, and a near record 152 cases last week. As of Sunday, Manhattan Beach’s COVID cases totaled 835. Hermosa Beach has had 624 cases. Redondo has had 1,647 cases. Source: Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
