Over 700 people gathered at the 17th annual ‘White Light White Night’ gala Aug. 19 at Campus 2100 in El Segundo. The event is the flagship fundraiser for Walk With Sally, a nonprofit that benefits children and families impacted by cancer. The night included a live auction, the art of muralist Mirium Hellman, a marching drumline and the rock group Identity Theft.
Walk With Sally offers mentorship, mental health support, art therapy and financial programs to its constituents. Its new CEO, Tash Brooks, was introduced at this year’s White Light, White Night, which more than 100 volunteers helped stage. Food was provided by 17 area restaurants, including Hook & Plow, Japonica, Quality Seafood, and Sushi Roku.
