Third annual “Hey Turkey” art show celebrates South Bay culture [PHOTOS]

M1SK organized another killer “Hey Turkey” Art Show the night before Thanksgiving, celebrating local art and culture. The artwork was diverse, ranging from the lens work of Brent Broza to the comic satire of “The Bubble” by Ian Freshman. All work centered on South Bay cultural roots.
When local artist David Senesac is working hard on the fishing boat “Betty G” docked in King Harbor, he’s expressing his talents on skin with his tattooing skills and on canvas with the brush stroke.
Third St. Tattoo tattoo’s Jeremy Hartland and his lady. Jeremy’s family has owned the futon and furniture shop where the art show was held for 50 years. Thank you Jeremy for opening up the store for such a rad event.
Photographer Brent Broza has been capturing all the things that make the South Bay bitchin’ for more than a decade. On his left is the surfer on the quest for the Endless Session, the lovely Morgan Sliff. She’s currently on Day 129 of a 366 day surf quest.
The King Harbor Brewing Company prides itself in supporting local culture. When the first keg was dusted in the first hour, Kristie phoned Tom, one of the owners, to see what the call of action was to be. Tom had another keg rushed to the show.
