Admiral Risty celebrates 50th

“This restaurant has survived longer than most of the marriages of couples who’ve met here,” State Assemblyman David Hadley observed at the 50th anniversary celebration of Admiral Risty last month. He added that the average lifespan for a restaurant is seven years.

“I turned 50 this year and Admiral Risty has certainly aged better than I have,” said Steve Napolitano, field representative for Supervisor Don Knabe.

After thanking his guests, owner Wayne Judah explained the key to the restaurant’s success. “We make every night a party, and you leave us just enough money for another party tomorrow night,” he said.
