The hairstyling business is built around regular clients, and Alan Bailey has a lot of regulars: more than 300, by his count. Bailey has been cutting hair in the South Bay for 14 years, and now mans a chair at Peroxide in Hermosa Beach. Every client is different, he says, so the key is to really listen to the customer.
“You have to do things to fit their needs,” Bailey says. “Go the extra mile, remember little things about them. Mold what you do to what they like.”
