The AES solution: better for Redondo Beach in every way?

A modern, significantly smaller AES power plant promises to benefit every Redondo Beach resident. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised based on factual errors.

Here are the facts, as I see them.

CalPERS clarification forces 19 city retirees off the job

Nineteen part-time retired public employees were quickly eliminated last week after a CalPERS law was amended and the city realized the retired CalPERS employees’ pensions could be on the line if they continued to go to work.

More Mira Costa students taking summer school

The Mira Costa sophomore hoped to fulfill his junior year social studies requirement so he’d have a free period in his class schedule the following year to take music theory.
