MBX volleyball tourney raises funds for Manhattan Beach school sports
Grand View Elementary School dads took the title last month in the MBX Foundation Charity Volleyball tournament at 22nd Street in Hemosa Beach. Hermosa Beach Strand residents Jeff and Kathy Kernochan hosted the event, which attracted teams from every Manhattan Beach public school. Funds raised will go to the Mira Costa Volleyball teams.
Soroptimist, police reserves bring Santa to Manhattan Beach
Santa Claus will travel by float through Manhattan Beach beginning Monday, December 2, thanks to the support of Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach and the Manhattan Beach Police Reserves. Santa and his reindeer will stop mid block to visit with children from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on weekdays, through Thursday, December 19.
