Leadership Manhattan Beach has chosen this year’s project: Replacing the telescopes on the Manhattan Beach Pier.
The mayor reaffirmed the city’s commitment to following the suggestions made by the Urban Land Institute for the city’s downtown at Tuesday’s Manhattan Beach City Council meeting.
Chez Melange, the celebrated Redondo Beach restaurant, was raided last Thursday by officers from the California State Highway Patrol in connection with an investigation of possible tax fraud being conducted by the California State Board of Equalization.
Manhattan Beach Police found 80 pounds of marijuana, $10,000 in cash, an assault rifle and three handguns while responding to a burglar alarm at a house on Marine Avenue yesterday around 4 p.m.
Hermosa Beach City Manager Tom Bakaly issued a letter via email to Matt Knabe of E & B Natural Resources’ public relations firm Englander, Knabe & Allen (EKA) taking issue with a full page ad posted in local papers and mailed to Hermosa residents.
