SBBC King of the South Bay 2015 Presented by Spyder: Power turns prevail for Dane Zaun

After a season starting with the most postponements due to enormous waves, rain, and/or gale force onshore winds in the five year history of the club, the SBBC wrapped up the 2015 season with the last couple of contests in favorable conditions making the year truly special. On Saturday, May 2nd, the league concluded with the “King of the South Bay” contest at Manhattan Beach Pier.

Packed opening for new library

Supervisor Knabe, who helped pave the way for the $26.3 million library, called the building the “crown jewel of Manhattan Beach.”

City takes tougher stance on Rite Aid

The city will become more aggressive in its efforts to get Rite Aid, which has let a site it leased at the corner of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard
lay vacant for six years, to do something with the site.
