Mary Ann Keating, a longtime newspaper reporter and Redondo Beach activist, has passed away at age 85.

Jill Lamkin, former owner of the downtown Manhattan Beach children’s boutique Sprout, has been named executive director of the Manhattan Beach Downtown Business and Professional Association. Lamkin succeeds Kelly Stroman, who was named CEO of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce in January.
