Manhattan Beach Policing and Partnerships forum to be Zoomed Thursday, June 9

“Policing and Partnerships in Manhattan Beach,” a forum hosted by the City of Hermosa Beach will be held on Zoom on Thursday, July 9 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Kathleen Terry, a systems management specialist and long time Manhattan Beach volunteer will moderate the forum.

Participants will include: Police chief Derrick Abell, Black Lives Matter protest organizers and former Mira Costa High students Jemal Williams and Dalia Feliciano, Chamber CEO Kelly Stroman, School Superintendent Mike Matthews and former councilman Mitch Ward.

The panel will discuss Manhattan Beach police policies and implicit bias, according to a city statement.
