Gambling is a very big deal for millions of people on the planet. As an avid fan, I’ve always thought that the rise of the internet was a blessing for every gambler. Being able to test virtual reels and try my luck at blackjack and poker without leaving my couch has been a game changer for me.

There’s always a moment in the life of a gamer where you think, “Hey, I enjoy visiting these sites, testing new variants of blackjack, roulette”  and so on… but can I win consistently at this type of entertainment? Beating the house and the dealer has been a goal for many people. Sometimes, I get this feeling that I’m chasing something that doesn’t exist: the power of getting it right all the time.

There are many ways to go around sites involving money. Some people are quite superstitious and will do strange things just to try to get luck on their side. I would lie to you if I said I’ve never tried to touch wood during a throw of the dice. However, I never went as far as praying to the Gods of luck during a session playing new jackpot slots through a site like Johnslots (johnslots.com/en/) because I have learned over time, if a jackpot is going to land, it will land, and no amount of wishes on a rabbit’s foot – well, it wasn’t lucky for the rabbit – will help.

Another way to improve at games is to read. I find that reading books about the probabilities of blackjack, roulette, and virtual reels can be an interesting way to determine how many times you’re supposed to win, if any. In the field of online entertainment, knowledge is power. It is very crucial even to have s small idea of how cards work and what number has the most probability of landing in a game of craps, for example.

This list of fascinating details can be found in eBooks. I’ve always found that these typically inexpensive digital versions of books are a great help for anybody interested in the culture. As a treat, I want to give you three of my favourite eBooks about everything casino.

What’s an eBook?

First things first, I feel the need to mention what an eBook is about. An eBook is typically a normal book compiled into a digital version that can be read on tablets, computers, and other devices. Some eBooks are directly published in that form, and others are simply online versions of existing books.

They can be free or significantly cheaper than hardback copies. What I like about them the most is that I can read them whenever I want, however I want, simply by pressing a button. Here are my top 3 eBooks about becoming a better gambler.

Secrets of How to Beat the Slots

I know it’s hard to judge a book by its cover. However, when said cover represents a bunch of reel machines stacked together, I already know I’m at a good place to find some valuable information. As you might already know, reel machines are the best assets of any reputable entertainment parlour, whether it be physical or online.

It is primarily an eBook made by industry insiders for newcomers. It shows many aspects of these wonderful machines that gave me so much joy in the past. Even if playing them sounds and looks quite simplistic, there’s more to it than pushing a button. This book fully studies concepts such as:

  • Probabilities
  • Risk management
  • Betting increase or decrease
  • Knowing when to stop

This attention to detail makes the book it a must-read for anybody curious about that popular pastime.

THE FIBONACCI STRATEGY: How to Make Money Playing Roulette

I can hardly consider myself a math enthusiast, as numbers are just dancing in my head freely, without much logic. However, THE FIBONACCI STRATEGY: How to Make Money Playing Roulette has given me tremendous insight into the world of Fibonacci, the name of a scientist who discovered that that famous sequence rules many things in the universe. Have a look for yourself: the shape of a shell is ruled by Fibonacci, and many of nature’s wonders are a product of this not-so-complicated math sequence.

I was surprised to see that even playing roulette boils down to a series of numbers and sequences. This eBook explains in great length the implacable logic behind numbers. Is it helpful to get better at roulette, though? Certainly so, as the reader can learn a lot about betting increases or decreases according to some sequence.

One good thing about this book is that it doesn’t pretend to give you a “magic formula” to become an instant millionaire. I don’t like fables and empty promises, so this eBook is at the top of my list.

Big Book of Blackjack, by Arnold Synder

Suppose anyone deserving the title of blackjack guru is Arnold Snyder, author of countless books about cards and the excitement they gave him during his 25-year career at the tables. I love blackjack because it’s typically a hobby where the rules are simple yet difficult to master. As an occasional gambler, I typically trust guys who spend a sizeable amount of time honing their craft. And I invite you to do the same.
