Former President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended Redondo Union High School’s 2012 graduation ceremony on Friday, June 15. The former president, the uncle of one of the graduates, was the surprise special guest speaker of the evening.
He urged the class to not be afraid of failure and, “get out and live your dreams.”
The Class of 1962 was also honored for their 50-year reunion. “I’m sure none of us will forget this special day,” RUHS principal Nicole Wesley said.
He will also be attending a fundraiser for the Redondo Beach Education Foundation at Parras Middle School after the ceremony. Only 50 $750 tickets were made available and sold out in 20 minutes.
