
Mira Costa High School and Pennekamp Elementary School will reopen Monday after closing down in response to a threat Friday, Manhattan Beach police announced.
“The Manhattan Beach Police Department responded to today’s threat and determined no suspicious activity exists at Mira Costa High School or Pennekamp Elementary,” police said in a Nixle alert sent out at 1:17 p.m.. “The Manhattan Beach Police Department and the FBI will continue to investigate the matter.”
Police will be present at all all Manhattan Beach schools on Monday “as a precautionary measure,” they said.
Mira Costa High School administration offices were open Friday afternoon. ER
