Toy Wrapping
Get in the holiday spirit this weekend by donating and wrapping gifts for the less fortunate at the Hermosa Community Center.
The 23rd Annual Beach Cities Toy Drive Wrapping Party will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center Gym. Residents can bring gifts or wrap ones that have been collected at various local fire stations.
Book Sale
The Friends of the Library will hold book sale this Saturday morning.
The sale will take place at 1309 Bard Street, just west of the Hermosa Beach branch of the Los Angeles County Library. Steeply discounted books of all varieties will be available for purchase.
City Council Meeting Cancelled
The City Council meeting which would normally take place on Tuesday, December 22 has been cancelled due to the holiday season. The council will next meet January 12, 2016. There will be a study session on the downtown core revitalization plan and parking at 6 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m.
