Ric Morton has spent more than 40 years entertaining kids and adults with puppets and impersonations. In recent years the former Easy Reader graphic artist toured South Bay elementary schools and libraries as Professor Weisenheimer, the scientific genius behind the Silly Science educational performances. He also tours West Coast county fairs with his Wonderworld Puppets. During the holiday season he is “The Real Bearded” Santa. He learned his craft from the legendary Jim Henson in 1974. For many years he and his puppet Froggy performed at Easy Reader’s annual Mama Liz Thanksgiving Dinner.
Morton is hospitalized with cancer and has undergone several surgeries. He’s scheduled to receive future treatment but he lacks adequate medical coverage.
