A family of three was killed last night along the Esplanade in what Redondo Beach Police believe was a double-murder and suicide.
According to RBPD Lt. Rick Kochheim, Marc Waz, 43, has been confirmed to have shot and killed wife Ivana, 43 and son Makani, 13 before dying by suicide.
Police were called to the family’s home on the 700 block of Esplanade after dispatchers received a call of shots-fired at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officers found one person unresponsive at the scene, and found two others dead inside the home. All appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.
Police believe that there are no other suspects.
