Top honorees at the 25th Annual Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance last month at Zamperini Field included Redondo Beach residents Derek and Kate Schofield and their 1993/1994 Ferrari 348 Spider (Ferrari 1971-1993) and Mark Schoennagel and his 1966 Volkswagen Deluxe Microbus (Volkswagen Transporters). The concours marquees were California Coachworks and Ferrari theme and the theme was “California Style.” Among the autos on display were pre-war classics and Ferrari’s first California model, from the early 1960s. Also displayed were Woodies, American convertibles, European sports cars, Japanese sports cars and Volkswagens. Proceeds benefited the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor and The Western Museum of Flight.
