A night at the track: Relay for Life Summer walks in Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach

The Beach Cities will host two Relay for Life walks this summer to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Teams solicit pledges and walk around local tracks over the weekend, sometimes spending the night.

Relay for Life of Manhattan Beach begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, at Mira Costa High School, 1401 Artesia Blvd. The event ends Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

Relay for Life of Beach Cities takes place at Lincoln Elementary School, 2223 Plant Ave., Redondo Beach, beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 and ending Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
