Residents of Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo, Lomita and unincorporated areas of Torrance can exchange their old toilets for new water-efficient toilets at West Basin Municipal Water District from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. Movie Night
The Foundation of Local Arts presents “I Am Comic,” a film documentary about the raw life behind the scenes of stand-up comedy, at 7 p.m. Sunday at Memphis Café in Manhattan Beach. The film features Tim Allen, Sarah Silverman, Tom Arnold, Phyllis Diller, Kathy Griffin and other top American comedians. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. Due to strong language and adult content, admission is restricted to adults. For $20 in advance or $25 at door, attendees will receive a free beverage and appetizers to snack on during the movie. A portion of proceeds will go to supporting arts and education. The Big One
Mark Benthien, communications director for the Southern California Earthquake Center at USC, will address quake preparation 6:45 p.m. Sunday, May 23 in O’Donnell Hall at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 15th and Laurel Streets, Manhattan Beach. The talk will be accompanied by a video presentation and followed by a Q&A session. A vendor will be outside the meeting area for attendees who want to buy earthquake survival kits.
Book Signing
On Saturday, Redondo Beach author Jennie Nash will speak about her latest novel, The Threadbare Heart, which came out May 4, at Pages: A Bookstore in Manhattan Beach. Nash has authored several novels, including The Last Beach Bungalow and The Only True Genius in the Family. Her non-fiction works include, Raising A Reader and The Victoria Secret Catalog Just Keeps Coming.

New and Improved Aquarium
The Roundhouse Aquarium on the pier will unveil new educational signs provided by Leadership Manhattan Beach from 10 a.m. to sunset Saturday.
