This week at ‘Concerts in the Park’: Hard Day’s Night

Beatles tribute band Hard Day’s Night has performed across England and the United States and previously appeared on FOX, PBS and CBS. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, the four-piece group musically focuses on the 1962-1966 era, donning stitch-for-stitch replications of the suits made famous by the four legendary musicians.
“Concerts in the Park” is an annual event organized by the Parks and Recreation Department. It runs every Sunday until September 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Polliwog Park. For more information, visit citymb.info.
Town Hall on Pacific Avenue Sharrows
A town hall meeting discussing the installment of bike sharrows on Pacific Avenue will take place Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Police/Fire Community Room (400/420 15th St.) In November 2011, the City Council adopted the South Bay Bicycle Master Plan, which would expand the bicycle network in Manhattan Beach from 3 miles to 31 miles by 2021. City traffic engineer Erik Zandvliet and MBPD Lt. Andy Harrod will give the presentation.
All future projects implemented in accordance with the plan requires Council review and approval through the public hearing process. The next workshop will take place in October, and the final mobility plan is expected before council next January. For more information, visit citymb.info.
