Beach schools – ECC Halloween Party
The 24th Annual Depot Halloween Ball, held under a tent next to the Chef Michael Shafer’s Depot restaurant in Old Town Torrance, drew over 500 El Camino College Foundation supporters. The Sunday, Oct. 20 costume party benefited South Bay Promise, which provides enrollment fees for incoming El Camino College high school graduates. The Depot’s annual Halloween party has raised over $1 million for a variety of local charities, earning Shafer the Torrance Citizen of the Year Award in 2011.
