If you want to know just how popular the Cheesecake Factory is, consider that in the forty years they’ve been in business they’ve gone from one small store to over 170 large restaurants. 
It’s a tribute to the American sweet tooth and our love of variety – there are over twenty different kinds of cheesecake alone, plus regular cakes, tortes, tiramisu, and ice cream sundaes. If you like simple fruit flavors or are watching your calories, they even offer the option of having a bowl of fresh strawberries. We have no idea how many people actually do this – stand at that bakery counter in plain view of all those sweet delights and order a bowl of fruit – but whoever does it has plenty of will power.
