Growing Wild – When it comes to stopping and smelling the roses, our readers prefer to do it at downtown Manhattan Beach’s Growing Wild, a florist shop with a mission to spread joy along with beauty. After all, what other florist uses calla lilies to enhance radiance, cymbidium orchids to invoke exotic beauty and desert roses “to amplify and restore the beauty that radiates in all of us?”

Growing Wild has grown a reputation for unique floral and true-to-life silk flower designs with bold, stylish and colorful flower and plant combinations to match any season. Experienced florists use the freshest flowers possible when designing arrangements to create handcrafted, one-of-a-kind looks. “Everybody’s life is enriched by color, which both energizes and lifts the spirits,” the store’s website reads.

And the store’s “Mindful Intention Collection” is intended to create beauty in its customers’ lives.  Flowers in the collection’s Joyous Arrangement  — chrysanthemums,  pink roses, gardenias — were chosen with the express intention of invoking joy, optimism, and happiness. Yellow is used to symbolizes warmth and vitality and a green chrysoprase stone is added to enhance calming, capture vibrant energy and elevate the spirit.

Growing Wild also specializes in detailed ocean wreaths made of sea shells and starfish, as well as wreaths for all seasons and occasions.  Florists work with customer’s color palettes, spacial dimensions and ideas to create any desired design for every day and for special events, such as weddings or funerals. Delivery is available in the South Bay and surrounding areas.
