Notice Inviting Bids

For Purchase of EOC Antenna System

 The City of Hermosa Beach is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to furnish the City of Hermosa Beach with antenna system improvementsto the radio communications antennas for the Emergency Operations Center.  The system will add two new antennas to the existing system and improve the cable run from the roof to the EOC. The proposal shall include equipment, installation and testing.

Submission of Proposals

Proposals must be received in the Office of the City Clerk, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254, on or before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014. The proposal shall be contained in a sealed bid.  The City of Hermosa Beach reserves the right to extend the time frame as necessary.

Late proposals will not be accepted.  Postmark date will not constitute timely delivery.  Proposals received after the deadline will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The sealed proposal envelope shall be identified with “HB EOC Antenna System” and the name of the vendor.  All prices and costs shall be sealed in the sealed proposal envelope.  All prices and costs for hardware, software, labor, and service contracts must be listed and itemized on a price sheet. The vendor’s proposal shall include an estimate of the time required to complete the project (installing, implementing, testing, and training).

Vendors must contact Captain Tom Thompson at (310) 318-0336 to schedule a walkthrough. A walkthrough is not required to submit a bid.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, to consider the following:

1.         Text amendment to the Municipal Code Title 17 (Zoning) to allow small gym/fitness/health club uses not exceeding 6,000 square feet of floor area in the M-1 (Light Manufacturing) zone citywide and amendments for consistency, including parking standards for this use (applicable to all zones), and adoption of Environmental Negative Declaration.

SAID PUBLIC HEARING shall be held at 7:30 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.

ANY AND ALL PERSONS interested are invited to participate and speak at this hearing at the above time and place. For inclusion in the agenda packet to be distributed, written comments of interested parties should be submitted to the department(s) listed with the item, in care of City Hall at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 prior to Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 12:00 noon. All written testimony by any interested party will be accepted prior to or at the scheduled time on the agenda for the matter.

IF YOU CHALLENGE the above matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the above-listed department(s) prior to or at the public hearing.
