Former Hermosa Beach councilwoman Nanette Barragan released a video today attacking Donald Trump for his position on immigration. The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to deliver a speech titled “Maker America’s Military Great Again” at the USS Iowa in San Pedro on Tuesday.

Barragan resigned from the Hermosa Beach city council last week to run for the 44th Congressional seat being vacated by Janice Hahn. The heavily Latino district includes Barragan’s hometown of San Pedro.

Barragan’s parents are immigrants from Mexico.

Trump is scheduled to speak at the USS Iowa 5:30 p.m. Barragan will hold a rally to protest Trump’s appearance at 3 p.m. at Liberty Hill Plaza, 100 W. 5th Street, San Pedro.
