Writing and Photography contest
Submit your memories from the 1980s in writing, or in photographs.
Prizes:
Writing: $100 Galleria Gift Cards for top two entries.
Stories must be about South Bay life the 1980s and approximately 600 words or fewer.
Photography: $100 Galleria Gift Cards for the top five entries.
Suggested photo categories: South Bay Galleria, promos, Santa photos, 1980s fashions, 1980s South Bay events, South Bay icons.
Photos should have been taken in the 1980s, or otherwise reflect a 1980s theme. We recommend scanning original photos and submitting them by email or on a computer disk. Original photos may be submitted with a stamped self addressed envelope. But neither the South Bay Galleria nor Easy Reader will be responsible for lost or damaged photographs.
Deadline:
Stories and photos must be submitted by Monday, October 18. Please include contact information with submissions.

’80s Dance Contest. The first 20 couples to RSVP on the Event Page on South Bay Galleria’s Facebook page with their team name will be invited to participate in the 80’s Dance Off! The winning couple will each receive a $250 Galleria Gift Card.
Saturday, October 30, 12-1pm, Center Court
’80s Costume Contest. The first 40 couples to RSVP on the Event Page on South Bay Galleria’s Facebook page with their name will be invited to participate in the 80’s Costume contest! The winner will receive a $250 Galleria Gift Card.

80’s Inspired Fashion Vignettes
One dozen of LA’s top fashion bloggers will partner with the Galleria’s top fashion retailers. You will get a chance to vote for your favorite store during the Fan Favorite Text to Vote campaign.
