The 21st Annual Hermosa Beach Veterans Day Candlelight Commemoration was held shortly after dusk on Wednesday at the The Hermosa Beach Veteran’s Sundial in front of the city’s community center.
The sundial was designed by veteran Jim Antonius and built in 1994 with labor and materials donated by other veterans, let by then city public works supervisor Mike Flaherty.
Flaherty emceed this year’s ceremony. The posting of colors was by the Hermosa Beach Police Color Guard and Hermosa resident Candace Ford sang the “National Anthem.”
