Local non profits are invited to participate in the Second Annual Nonprofit Quick Pitch Contest on March 9 at the Lighthouse Cafe. At the end of the evening, the winning nonprofit will receive a $10,000 grant from the Hermosa Beach Friends Foundation.
Pitches will be limited to four minutes and a maximum of five slides, board president Ryan Nowicki said. No amplified sound or video will be allowed.
The application deadline is 11:59 p.m., Wed., Feb. 23. If more than 12 organizations apply, HFF will pick the 12 participants by a lottery drawing by Sat., Feb 26.

The Hermosa Friends Foundation has donated over $100,000 to charities since its founding in 2016. Recipients have included Leadership Hermosa Beach, SPCA LA, the Peter Zippi Memorial Fund, the Hermosa Beach Sister Cities, and the Torrance Teachers Foundation.
