Police have identified the 53-year-old Long Beach woman found dead at the bottom of a pool on Saturday morning, July 14. Trina Marie Heard-Broughton was staying as a guest at a friend’s home in the 2100 block of Loma Drive, police said. She was discovered at the bottom of the pool at about 8 a.m. After paramedics unsuccessfully attempted to revive her, Heard was pronounced dead at the scene, said Det. Mick Gaglia in a press release.
Heard was in possession of several medications and had consumed alcoholic beverages the night before, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the official cause of death, but no signs of foul were discovered and the cause of death appears to be accidental, police said.
