The community dialogue process for the city’s “Hermosa Beach 2020 and Beyond,” program will kick off tonight at the Little Theater in the Hermosa Beach Community Center. This will be the first meeting of many to discuss community priorities and lay groundwork for the rest of the process. This first meeting will mark the beginning of many opportunities for residents to make their voices heard and will start dialogues about the city’s priorities as well as open the floor for conversation about various topics. The general plan and coastal land use plan will be discussed as well as the strategic economic plan for downtown. This program will continue until January 2014 and is expected to help the community articulate the area’s values and give residents the opportunity to come together in small and large groups to participate in discussions and surveys and help shape the future of Hermosa Beach. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to end around 9 p.m. The Little Theater is location on the second floor of the Hermosa Beach Community Center at 710 Pier Avenue.
