Terror memorial A piece of the World Trade Center will be on display when Hermosa Beach Police Department chaplains will hold a memorial service at Pier Avenue and Valley Drive, 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. The service will be held at the community’s 9-11 memorial bench, decorated with 2,998 buttons for each victim of the attacks, along with airline flight attendant wings and badge pins from NYPD and NYFD.
