Hermosa’s Pier Avenue Makeover [Photos]

Hermosa Beach officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to unveil the remade Pier Avenue, nine months after turning shovels to herald the beginning of the work. The iconic main drag, which runs downhill from Pacific Coast Highway toward the ocean, now sparkles new and spacious, with pedestrians strolling its sidewalks and long-vacant properties serendipitously coming to life on both sides of the roadway.
