How to host your very own Bingo night

Bingo has been around for many years. With Bingo halls being seen as the place to be with friends for decades, why not bring that Bingo feeling to your very own home, by throwing a Bingo party?

We all know you can now access a game or two of Bingo online, but sometimes there’s nothing better than gathering your friends and creating your very own Bingo night, full of fun, laughter and daubers!

So, to create the ultimate Bingo night at home, we’ve put together a little list of things we think you’ll need to make your party, one to remember.

Scroll to discover the list.

1 – Invite your friends

There can be no party without any guests, so it’s time to set a date and send out your invites to those you want to join you.

You could set up a group chat, send individual messages, or simply set up a private event on Facebook and invite everyone that way. You could even invite them face to face, give them a call or go old school and send them a physical party invite. The choice yours!

2 – Bingo equipment

To host a Bingo party, you need to make sure you have all the correct equipment.

Do you own or know someone that owns a Bingo machine complete with Bingo balls? If not, there are plenty of online retailers that sell just this, for an affordable price.

You’ll also need to supply daubers for players to mark off the called numbers – felt tip pens work just as well if you can’t find Bingo daubers.

As for the Bingo cards, you can either purchase these from an online retailer or down your local high street store. Alternatively, you could find some online and print them off yourself.

3 – Prizes

Whether you’re playing Bingo down your local hall, club, or online, there’s always some sort of prize for getting a line or a full house, so why should your Bingo night be any different?

We’re not talking big jackpot prizes or anything like that, how about your prize be a bottle of something, a box of chocolates or even a gift card?

You could even ask your friends to each bring a prize too, that way you won’t need to organise everything, and some prizes can be a surprise for you as well. We’re sure your friends won’t mind contributing something towards the game, especially when they are saving money on what they would usually spend on Bingo tickets, food and drink at a local Bingo hall.

To make prizes fair, you could attach a raffle ticket to each one, so the winner can randomly pick the prize they have won by pulling out a ticket from a hat or box.

4 – Food and drink

Offering food and drink to your guests is a must when hosting. Whether it be crips and dips, sausage rolls or even pizza. Make sure your guests don’t leave with their stomachs rumbling.

You could take the Bingo theme one step further and offer food and drink that fits right in – ball-shaped food like cheese balls, profiteroles, pizza, and so forth.

5 – A winning playlist

Create an atmosphere with a winning vibe, with a playlist focused on celebration and having fun. You could include songs such as Gold by Spandau Ballet, We are the Champions by Queen and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper, just to name a few.

So, know you know how to host your very own Bingo party – when will you be sending out the invites?
