The Second Annual State of the Art, a fundraiser for Indivisible Arts, will feature an auction of nearly 100 skateboard decks painted by local artists. The decks are from a competition sponsored by Leadership Hermosa.  Proceeds from the auction will go to the artists and to Indivisible Arts’ youth programs.

Emmy award winning sportscaster, and Fox play-by-play NFL announcer Kevin Burkhardt will serve as auctioneer.

This year’s gala theme is “The Art of Unity.” The evening’s goal is to raise $400,000. Last year, State of the Art raised $250,000.

“We are expecting more than 500 community members to attend our event, which is truly unlike any fundraiser you have been to anywhere,” Indivisible Arts founder RafaelMcMaster said. “If you attended our inaugural event last year, you know what an incredible party it was — and this year will be even better!”

Indivisible Arts was recently named the “Official Creative Consciousness Partner” of Hermosa Beach Schools. Its role will be to provide students with developmental tools for creativity, and for strengthening  mental health.
