Mama Liz Thanksgiving Dinner [PHOTOS]

Nearly 500 guests and volunteers enjoyed the 27th Annual Absolutely Free Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis and Rotarian halls. The event, sponsored by Easy Reader and its readers, was founded by former Easy Reader typesetter and Garden of Eden owner Mama Liz Turner.

Chefs Rick Hankus of Ocean Diner and Victor Salas of The Bakery Place in Torrance ran the kitchen. Volunteer coordinator Donna Dawick of Prudential Realtors ran the dining room and Jonathan Coleman of Real Estate West served as music director, with help from Fat Face Fenner open mic master Fred Milani. Musicians who preformed included Coleman, Milani, Samantha Free, Jerry Rothchild and the Drum Circle’s Sabrina. Manhattan Bread and Bagel and the Sandpipers provided the rolls and pumpkin pies and over 40 cooked turkeys were donated by Prudential Realtors and Easy Reader readers.
