Manhattan Beach honors its military veterans [PHOTOS]

More than 200 people attended Manhattan Beach’s 18th Annual Veterans Day Multi-Generational Event late Wednesday morning. The event was hosted by Mayor Mark Burton and featured keynote speaker General Robert Ord, U.S. Army, and a Veteran’s Day address by the commander of the local US National Guard CDR 578th Brigade Engineer Battalion, LTC Gilbert Rolden. The ceremony also included a Presentation of the Colors by the Manhattan Beach Police Department Color Guard, the National Anthem sung by the Manhattan Beach Middle School Choir, thoughts and thanks to veterans by Boy Scout Troop #849 and Girl Scout Troop #8425.
